This beautiful hairpin would look perfect as part of your Frankish Garb. It is solid and quite heavy and features a eagle with a crystal eye. This type of eagle hair pin was popular in the north of France and the Rhineland in the 3rd to 6th century.

The size and weight of this pin suggests that it could also be used as a decorative cloak pin, such as the one found in the grave of Queen Arnegunde.
